Degrees of Comparison – Irregular Adjectives



Remember that some very common adjectives have irregular forms.
تذكر أن بعض الصفات المشاعة لديها صيغ غير منتظمة (شاذة) في المقارنة

Avoid using a regular form instead of irregular form for these adjectives.

تجنب استخدام الصيغة المنتظمة للمقارنة وهي تلك الصيغة المعتادة , بدلا من الصيغة الشاذة التابعة لهذه الصفات .

(a) best
(b) The most good
(c) The best
(d) The better

الإجابة الصحيحة هـــــــــي :
                                                                         ( c ) the best.


Comparative Estimates – More Than & Less Than


Remember that more than or less than is used before a specific number to express an estimate that may be a little more or a little less than the number. 

Avoid using more or less without than in estimates. Avoid using as instead of than.



Comparative Estimates – Multiple Numbers



Remember that the following are examples of multiple numbers :


Avoid using so instead of as after a multiple. Avoid using more than instead of as much as or as many as. Avoid using the multiple after as much and as many.
